Attempted Second Degree Murder Arrests

UPDATE: After further investigation, Vonterrious White, a victim in the shooting, has also been arrested for his involvement in the June 27th shooting. White is being charged with one count for Attempted Second Degree Murder.

UPDATE: SUSPECT, ERIC ALEXANDER, HAS BEEN CAPTURED

On June 27, 2012 at approximately 8:41pm, the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office was called to the 600 Block of Greenwood Drive in Monroe, LA in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, deputies located three victims which all had sustained gunshot wounds to various parts of their body. All three victims were transported to local hospitals and are in stable condition.

During the investigation, deputies learned that there was a verbal altercation between one of the victims and Eric Alexander AKA “Gummy”, the shooting suspect. The verbal altercation became more heated and turned violent when Eric pulled a gun out and began to shoot at the three victims, striking all three.

There has been a warrant issued for the arrest of Eric Jarrell Alexander, 18yo Black Male, for three counts of Attempted Second Degree Murder. Wanted – Quaterrius Browhow

UPDATE: Quaterrius Demetrius Browhow has been captured.

The Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office has obtained a warrant for the arrest of Quaterrius Demetrius Browhow, black male, DOB 1/28/91, for Simple Burglary with bond of $100,000.

On July 15, 2012, deputies responded to a burglar alarm in the 100 Block of Leisure Drive in Monroe, LA. While searching the residence, the deputies found the home to be ransacked and no suspects were inside. Deputies then found an abandoned 2007 Nissan Altima parked across the street from the residence with the engine running and the driver’s side window rolled down. Inside the vehicle, deputies could see a Play Station gaming system and several games on the floorboard. After contacting the homeowner, deputies were advised that the found items were from inside the residence.

Upon further investigation, deputies learned that the vehicle was to be in the possession of Shakira Gatson. Deputies and Monroe Police Department Officers made contact with Gatson at her apartment where multiple items were found and determined to have been taken during burglaries being worked by detectives with Monroe PD. OPSO Investigators were informed that Gatson’s boyfriend, Quaterrius Browhow, had borrowed the car and later called Gatson for a ride.

Shakira Gatson was arrested by Monroe PD for possession of stolen property and a warrant has been obtained for the arrest of Quaterrius Demetrius Browhow for Simple Burglary with bond of $100,000.

Armed Robbery Suspect

On 8/21/12 OPSO deputies were dispatched to an armed robbery at Johnny’s Pizza, 3001 Old Sterlington Rd. An unidentified black male entered the restaurant armed with a handgun and covering his face with a towel. He demanded money from the cashier and fled with an undetermined amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5’10”-6’0” 190-215 lbs. with light skin and short hair. A suspect matching that same description has robbed several locations inside the Monroe City limits and should be considered armed and dangerous.

UPDATE: Jacob Jones has been located and arrested.

The Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking for your help in locating Jacob A. Jones, white male, DOB 5/12/82. Jones has an outstanding Felony Theft warrant with a $15,000 bond. Jones’ last known address is 1333 Reggie Skains Rd, Downsville, LA. Jones is involved in theft of hunting equipment from hunting leases in the area.

UPDATE: ERIC MARTIN WAS ARRESTED AT A LOCATION NEAR GORDON AVENUE IN MONROE.

The Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office has obtained a warrant for the arrest of Eric Wayne Martin, black male, 5’11″, 160lbs, brown hair, brown eyes, DOB 9/8/1976, for Aggravated Kidnapping, Aggravated 2nd Deg Battery, and Theft of Motor Vehicle with total bond of $2,000,000.00. Martin’s last known address is 203 Mullberry St. Monroe. He was last seen wearing a black leather jacket, black pants, white shoes, black beanie hat, carrying a red backpack. Martin is considered to be homeless.

Urquiza has outstanding Felony warrants for Illegal Possession of Stolen Things and Burglary with a $23,500 total bond. Urquiza’s last known address is 738 Smith St West Monroe, LA. Urquiza is involved with vehicle burglaries in the area.

Wanted – Timothy Randle

On 01/10/13, inmate Timothy Randle walked away from his trustee job-site at the Ouachita Parish Courthouse. Randle, 32yo, B/M, 5’11″, 230lbs, was incarcerated for the charge of Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle. Randle has tattoos on his right arm, but can be best recognized by a large tattoo on his face.

The Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking for your help in locating Christopher Glen Temple, white male, DOB 07/03/75. Temple has outstanding Felony warrants for 2nd Degree Battery, False Imprisonment with a Weapon, and Aggravated Assault with a Gun with a $85,000 total bond. Temple’s last known address is 102 Ineichen St., Rayville, LA.

Suspects Wanted for Armed Robbery

Two additional suspects have been identified in the Armed Robbery that occurred at Town & Country apartments on 2/14/13. The Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office has secured arrest warrants for one count of Armed Robbery for Eric Mycal Roberts, 20yo of 3111 Old Sterlington Rd #286 in Monroe and Larry Ranell Coleman, aka “Little Larry”, 21yo of 118 Birchwood Drive in Monroe. Both are considered armed and dangerous. Bond has been set at 100,000.00 each.

OPSO Searching for Escaped Work Release Inmate

UPDATE: On May 4th, Ronald Lassere was taken into custody in Ascension Parish. Acting on a tip, deputies located the suspect in an apartment complex where he was eventually arrested without incident.

 

The Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office needs your help in locating escapee Ronald David Lassere Jr., 32yo, W/M, 5’7″, 180lbs, Brown Hair/Brown Eyes.

Lassere was in the work release program when he walked away from his job on Jackson Street in Monroe.

On Today’s date, Lassere was spotted by Franklin Parish Sheriff’s Office when he then fled on foot. Franklin Parish Sheriff’s Office, LSP, and other surrounding agencies are currently conducting a search for Lassere.

Lassere was last seen wearing an LSU cap, orange shirt, khaki shorts, green socks and also had a green shirt in his possession.

Subjects Wanted in Connection with Residential Burglaries

UPDATE: An additional warrant for the arrest of Adrian Deon Harvey, 20yo, of Monroe has been issued for Illegal Possession of Stolen Things and Accessory After the Fact with a total bond of $17,500.00

An investigation into eastern Ouachita Parish residential burglaries has yielded the arrest of Donavan Ward, 19yo, of Monroe. Ward was arrested on Tuesday after an undercover deputy purchased a lap top computer during a stolen property sting. A subsequent investigation has allowed investigators to secure arrest warrants for Justin Jerome Moy, 20yo, of Monroe along with Terrance Tyre Williams, 19yo, of Monroe.

Ward was arrested for Illegal Possession of Stolen Things, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Ward was booked into the Ouachita Correctional Center and held pending $20,500.00 bond.

Moy is wanted for Illegal Possession of Stolen Firearms. A warrant for his arrest has been issued with a bond of $20,000.00

Williams is wanted two counts of Burglary. A warrant for his arrest has been issued with a total bond of $95,000.00

This is an ongoing investigation with more arrests expected. A link is provided below depicting stolen property taken from one of the burglaries. Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Moy, Williams or any of the stolen property is asked to call the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office or Crimestoppers of Ouachita.

Wanted For Burglary

The Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking for your help in locating a wanted fugitive.  Demarcus Dewayne Chisley is a black male who is 20 years old, 5’6″ tall and weighs approximately 205 pounds.  OPSO currently has three active warrants for burglary on Chisley with a total bond of $40,000.00.  The  investigation has revealed that  Chisley is a member of an organized burglary ring in and around Ouachita Parish.  Chisley is considered armed and Dangerous.   If anyone has any information as to Chisley’s whereabouts please call OPSO at 318-329-1200 or Crimestoppers at 318-388-CASH(2274).

UPDATE: OPSO 5-21-14 Mark Alan Cannon is in custody…

Following up on a Crime Stoppers tip OPSO Warrants Deputies apprehended Mark Alan Cannon at approximately 2:30 pm on Hickory Street in Baucomville.  Cannon has been transported to the Ouachita Correctional Center for processing.

 

On May 19th, 2014, deputies of the Ouachita Parish Correctional Center observed two inmates who had escaped from their minimum security dorms heading towards OCC’s perimeter fence.  OCC’s deputies were able to apprehend one of the inmates named Eric Wilkins.  Deputies are still searching for Mark Alan Cannon Jr. (white male DOB: 7-12-88). Cannon was incarcerated on a warrant for Possession of Methamphetamine (Bond : $2,500) and a probation violation.

Ouachita Deputies Seeking Fugitive from California

UPDATE:   Cotham has been arrested in Brevard County, Florida on the California charges.  He is no longer being sought by OPSO for California authorities.  We have no other details other than the arrest was made.

Ouachita Sheriff’s Investigators are searching for  Jimmy Lee Cotham  for law enforcement authorities in Yolo, California.  Warrants have been issued in California for Cotham on the felony charges listed below.  Information has developed that the suspect may be in the Ouachita Parish Area.  Should anyone have any information on or see the suspect, you are asked to contact the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office at 318-329-1200 or your local law enforcement agency.
